FLESH, BONES & A SENSE OF HUMOR.

I am a polymath. Art means so many things to me. And art IS many things. I know the feelings I get when I see works of art that I think are beautiful; when I hear my favorite artists' songs play; when I read a text that makes my insides cry.
That's what it's all about. Not the recognition, or the compliments [although, bring those ON!], but about the feeling. These works are part of my pilgrimage to evoke those feelings in others.

~~
I want to share things I've done:
This blog is filled with pieces of my art: writing/photography/illustration/etc, and pieces from other artists and authors whom I will credit if possible, including songs and lyrics [accompanied by audio posts if possible] that I really love.

So enjoy it all on my blog and if you have any questions at all, please feel free to ask!

A Spaceman that can’t get high.

I choked on racing vomit

Acid swirls: orange peels, lemon rind

Hot garbage, summertime

My sweaty hands sweating crime

Sticky fingers no longer mine

This is what it means to die

A story claws out my eyes

No drugs to suppress fear inside

The fear of lies

The power of goodbyes and “WHY!?”s

Betrayal says a tired sigh

No more room for a try

The trying is what made me cry

And the crying made me vomit.

Water gave birth to waves as we joined hands

Birth to bicycle love

The breeze and joy became physical

Holding hands seemed almost impossible

But we held tight

Careful not to fall

Careful not to fight.

There could be no more graceful dance

As we became fish

We belonged in that water

On those wheels

No dance more exhilarating

Filled with the salt-water stained passion

To make us feel more

Knowing nothing would ever be the same

Peddling faster, faster then

Careful not to stop

Careful not to faint.

Water wind monsters calling us by name

Alone, we were surrounded by everything

All at once

Panting, never sweating

Danger close behind us

Life up ahead

We were close.

The waves carried us, pushed us

Commanded us, WERE us

Safety told us not to

Stare in each other’s eyes.

There now

Waves crashed, ended, cheered, climaxed

We had the world

Ours to share, ours to protect

Contentment played a tune

Saying “goodbye” with happy sighs

Careful not to breathe

Careful not to die.

Our destination home, haven, forever.

La luna

Happiness

I asked the planets and the
Moon for just one word..
I begged the same thing of the stars,
But they made no indication that they’d heard

And what of those whose wishes come true…
Whom are they wishing to?

What heart it must take for tearless pillows,
Bedsides piled with dreams laid to rest.
These eyes ever dumb of tomorrow,
And the heart beat that escapes my chest.

But “Dream on,” Jupiter screamed, nearly blinding my eyes,
“It takes more than just wishing to shine in this sky.”

I can’t tell you because I’m too proud.

But it’s all I think about

And every word I ever wanted to shout

Is your name

How it’s been so long since I’ve known you

Still never before now was it true

Do you have even the slightest clue

How I’m in love?

I dream of your arms around me

Will dreams come true if I say please?

Fireworks: will be the result of these

Hearts if combined.

You are more than a muse

A desirable man who’s

All I could ever hope to choose

Have you the slightest clue how I’m in love?
